With love, December is a Richmond-area scavenger hunt designed to impart curiosity, exploration, and holiday cheer. It is free to play and open to all.

How to play:​​​​​​​​

• When you are ready to start your timer and get the riddles to begin the scavenger hunt, email withlovedecember@gmail.com with the exact subject line: Start the hunt

• Within two minutes, you will receive an automated email response with the ten riddles, which will serve as a time-stamp for your start of play. This allows you to start anytime after December 1st, no penalty for late start.

• Each riddle describes a landmark or object around Richmond. A car is recommended. All locations are within a 2.5 mile radius of 1st and Main.

• Solve the riddles in any order, as fast as you can.

• Riddles are fact-based, so Google is permitted for defining words, verifying facts, and mapping addresses.

• You must show you've solved the riddle by taking a photo of yourself with the landmark or object.

• Once all riddles are solved, email all ten photos, along with your name(s), to withlovedecember@gmail.com with the exact subject line: Signed

• Photos can be attachments or formatted together in a document. This email will time-stamp your completion of the hunt.

• You have until December 20th.

• The fastest ten players to complete the full scavenger hunt will receive a hand painted ornament.

• Winners will be notified December 21st.

• You may choose to work together and take group photos. Maximum 5 players per group. Winners are counted by individual participants, though, so if a member of your group is left out of any photo, they will not be counted as having completed that riddle. Please include all group members' names with the completion email.

• Photos, names, and email addresses will not be shared with anyone. This is solely for documenting the competition.

• Stay respectful of public and private property and hours of operation (one location inaccessible after 5pm).
