This piece features Walbrook Club, a pre-Prohibition whiskey brand. Adding the word "club" to labels became a trend in the late 1800s, with its roots tracing back to Hiram Walker, the founder of Canadian Club. Walker initially sold his whiskey exclusively at gentlemen’s clubs, branding it as "club whiskey" to highlight the sense of exclusivity. As his sales moved east from the Midwest, many brands adapted the term, even if not linked to a gentlemen‘s club.
