This piece features a bottle of Sauer’s Sherry Flavor from the 1920s. C. F. Sauer founded Sauer Brands in Richmond, Virginia, in 1887, producing flavoring extracts and spices. The iconic Sauer’s Vanilla incandescent bulb advertisement, displayed along Broad Street, is also from this time period.
