The distiller noted on this label, E.E. Downham, served as the mayor of Alexandria, VA, during the late 1800s. Downham is known to have produced multiple whiskies, with Old Triple XXX Maryland being among them. His historic home in Old Town still stands today, where another one of my E. E. Downham pieces has found a home.
