1910's Moët & Chandon Champagne, 2024

Graphite on cotton paper

Dimensions: 30 in. x 22 in.

Framed Dimensions: 34.25 in. x 26.5 in.

All pieces are professionally framed with acid-free materials and UV-protective, anti-glare glass.

The reference bottle for this piece came from the wine cellar of Meadowcrest Mansion, a now-demolished historic home in Lexington, KY. I discovered several advertisements for this distinct Moët & Chandon label, Imperial Crown Brut “Cuvée A.A.,” dating from 1911-1914. According to the U.S. Patent Office, this distinct label was in use starting in 1908.
