Sauer's Linseed Oil, 2026
Graphite on cotton paper
Dimensions: 20 in. x 15 in.
Framed Dimensions: 23.25 in. x 18.25 in.
All pieces are professionally framed with acid-free materials and UV-protective, anti-glare glass.
Featured in this piece is an antique bottle of linseed oil from Richmond, Virginia. It was produced by Sauer’s Extracts, a brand that still operates today, producing flavorings and condiments including Duke's Mayonnaise. Specific features of the glass help date this bottle to before 1925, when the American Glass Works factory in Richmond was burned.
