This piece features Braddock Whiskey, a pre-Prohibition brand from Maryland. It was the flagship brand of Irish immigrant James Clark, who produced several labels under the James Clark Distilling Company. As indicated by the portrait on the label, Clark named the whiskey after British General Edward Braddock of the French and Indian War, who was known by contemporaries for his love of whiskey.
